Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Sunday paid a visit to former state governor and current FCT Minister Nyesom Wike at his residence in Port Harcourt.
The visit has attracted political interest as Nigeria moves closer to the 2027 general elections and political discussions intensify across Rivers State.
Lere Olayinka, an aide to Wike, disclosed the meeting through a Facebook post.
Fubara reportedly arrived at Wike’s residence alongside Dr Sam Sam Jaja. He was received by Kingsley Chinda, who is described as the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Rivers State.
Also present at the residence was former lawmaker and Rivers political figure Senator Magnus Abe.
The gathering brought together several prominent figures whose political activities and relationships could become significant as the state approaches another election cycle.
