Burna Boy is set to combine Nigerian music with American football when he takes the stage at the NFL’s first regular-season game in France.
The Grammy Award-winning Nigerian artist will headline the halftime show as the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the New Orleans Saints at the Stade de France on October 25.
The game will begin at 2:30 p.m. CEST.
A New Chapter in Paris
For Burna Boy, the performance represents a return to a venue that has already played an important role in his international career.
In April 2025, he became the first African artist to headline a solo concert at the Stade de France.
Now he will return to the same stadium for a major American sporting event.
Burna Boy said the opportunity to perform again in Paris means a great deal to him, particularly because he will be representing African music during the NFL’s French debut.
NFL’s International Push
The Paris game is part of the NFL’s biggest international programme to date.
The league has scheduled international regular-season games across several countries, with seven of those events featuring halftime performances.
The international entertainment lineup includes Ayra Starr in London, Pedro Sampaio and Ricky Martin in Rio de Janeiro, Cage The Elephant in Munich and The Warning in Mexico City.
The Jonas Brothers were also part of the Melbourne Game lineup.
The strategy allows the NFL to combine its American sporting product with artists who have strong connections to audiences in international host markets.
Why Burna Boy Fits the Paris Event
NFL executive Tim Tubito said Burna Boy’s connection to Paris and his previous achievement at the Stade de France made him an appropriate performer for the occasion.
Burna Boy has built an international career by taking Afrobeats and Afro-fusion to audiences across Europe, North America and other parts of the world.
His NFL appearance gives that musical identity another major international platform.
It also creates a link between the NFL’s expansion into France and the growing global audience for African music.
When and Where to Watch
The NFL Paris Game will take place at the Stade de France on October 25.
The full halftime performance will be broadcast live in France by France Télévisions and beIN Sports.
L’Équipe will show the game later that evening.
Details of Burna Boy’s setlist and any possible guest appearances have not yet been announced.
For the Nigerian singer, the event marks another major appearance at the Stade de France. For the NFL, it represents a first regular-season game in France and another step in its international expansion.
