Nigerian-born bodybuilding champion Samson Dauda has finished as the second-place athlete in the Men’s Open division at the 2026 Mr. Olympia in Las Vegas.
Dauda was beaten to the top spot by Nick Walker, while Derek Lunsford secured third place.
The performance comes two years after Dauda achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Nigerian to win the Mr. Olympia crown in 2024.
His latest appearance again put him among the leading competitors in the world’s premier professional bodybuilding competition.
Dauda’s journey has attracted significant attention in Nigeria and internationally, particularly following his breakthrough Mr. Olympia victory in 2024.
Although he did not retain the title in 2026, his runner-up finish keeps him firmly among the sport’s elite and adds another major result to his professional career.
