The Super Falcons of Nigeria competed against South Africa in the 2027 Women’s World Cup play-off, requiring a victory to move forward to the intercontinental play-offs. Out of four losing quarter-finalists from the 2027 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), only two spots were available for contention.
