Over a hundred prospective voters, allegedly brought in by a member of the Accord Party before the gubernatorial election in Osun State, have been detained.
These voters, who were in possession of new Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), had gathered at the home of Hon Abiola Ibrahim prior to the election.
A viral video on social media shows the purportedly imported voters being questioned by security officials.
During the interrogation, Abiola Ibrahim admitted that he had accommodated the large group at his residence to support the Accord Party in the underway election.
Ibrahim is reportedly a representative of the Irewole-Isokan Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly.
Attempts to get an immediate comment from the Osun State Police Command were not successful at the time of reporting.
