Six Islamic clerics have reportedly been abducted by bandits in Zamfara State, with their captors allegedly demanding N30 million for their release.
The incident was reported by conflict journalist D English Alhaji on Facebook on Tuesday.
According to the report, the clerics were abducted after attending a special prayer organised for President Bola Tinubu and the APC.
What Happened?
The prayer session was reportedly organised by Abdulaziz Yari, senator representing Zamfara West and the APC campaign Director-General.
The six Sheikhs attended the gathering before they were allegedly abducted by bandits.
D English Alhaji subsequently reported that the kidnappers had contacted those involved and demanded N30 million for the clerics’ release.
He also posted photographs said to be of the six abducted clerics.
