The Federal Government has opened applications for its Credit for Laptops, Internet, Connectivity and Knowledge Digital Devices (C.L.I.C.K.D.) programme, an initiative designed to help Nigerians acquire laptops, smartphones, tablets, and other digital devices through affordable consumer credit instead of making full upfront payments. The scheme is being implemented by the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP).

Who Can Apply?

The application portal allows interest from various categories of Nigerians, including:

  • Salary earners
  • Freelancers and self-employed individuals
  • Business owners
  • Students
  • Job seekers
  • NYSC members

Applicants can also indicate whether they belong to recognised digital skills programmes such as 3MTT, ALX, AltSchool Africa, Andela Learning Community, HNG Internship, Genesys Tech Hub, Learn2Earn, or another programme. During the current pilot phase, however, the first 1,000 laptops are being prioritised for eligible 3MTT fellows.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official C.L.I.C.K.D. application portal:
  2. Click the “I’m Interested” button.
  3. Complete the online application form by providing:
    • Your state of residence
    • Employment status
    • Monthly income (optional)
    • Digital skills programme (if applicable)
  4. Submit your application and wait for further communication from CREDICORP regarding eligibility, verification, and the next steps.

Available Devices

The programme is expected to cover:

  • Laptops
  • Smartphones
  • Tablets
  • Other approved digital devices that support education, business, and digital productivity.

Repayment Terms

CREDICORP has stated that the programme is based on affordable consumer credit. Detailed information on interest rates, repayment periods, and any required down payment is expected to be released as the scheme expands.

The Federal Government says the initiative is part of its broader strategy to improve digital inclusion, increase access to technology, and empower Nigerians with the tools needed for education, employment, entrepreneurship, and participation in the digital economy.
