The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the successful completion of the upload of all its governorship and State House of Assembly candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, describing the exercise as a major milestone in the APC’s preparations for the elections.
Yilwatda congratulated party leaders, members and candidates across the country for what he described as a smooth and successful nomination process.
According to him, the APC has uploaded the details of 56 governorship and deputy governorship candidates, as well as 1,015 candidates contesting for seats in the various State Houses of Assembly.
He said the completion of the nomination exercise reflects the party’s readiness for the next phase of the electoral process and demonstrates its organisational capacity.
“The successful upload of all our candidates to the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal is a clear indication that the APC is fully prepared for the 2027 general elections,” he stated.
The APC chairman added that with the nomination process completed, the party would now intensify engagement with Nigerians while showcasing the achievements of the President Bola Tinubu administration.
He expressed confidence that the party’s campaign would focus on its record in government and its vision for the country’s future as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
