Bandits in Katsina State have allegedly confirmed the death of Biliya, a top aide to infamous bandit leader Kachalla Muhammadu. This occurred after their group was attacked by security forces in the Matazu area.
Security analysts Zagazola Makama reported the development on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The report was based on intelligence gathered from a conversation between two suspected bandit associates known as Mamiyo and Juli Asso Maha.
The report indicates that the conversation was observed around 11:34 p.m., when Juli inquired with Mamiyo regarding Biliya.
Mamiyo, reportedly back from visiting Kachalla Muhammadu’s location, confirmed that Biliya and his gang had initiated an operation heading northward in the Matazu area.
According to reports, the group entered a town whose name has not been disclosed and later left Biliya inside a shop before being attacked by security forces.
According to reports, Mamiyo confirmed Biliya’s death after the group returned to their leader’s location.
“Mamiyo reportedly mentioned during the conversation that Biliya and his gang had initiated an operation heading towards the northern area of their location in the Matazu axis.”
According to the report, the information upset members of the group, and Juli expressed frustration about Biliya’s death.
As of the time of this report, authorities have not yet issued any official statement confirming Biliya’s reported death.
