The Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) has successfully neutralized nine suspected terrorists and destroyed three carts believed to be carrying weapons and supplies during a precise airstrike in Dumba, Borno State.
On the social media platform X, security expert Zagazola Makama posted a statement detailing that the operation occurred on Saturday, August 8, based on reliable intelligence about terrorist activities in the Dumba area.
Zagazola mentioned that the mission involved armed reconnaissance and air interdiction. According to his account, the aircraft arrived over Dumba around 2:58 p.m. after receiving intelligence indicating the presence of suspected terrorists.
He described how, upon reaching the target area, the aircraft detected a group of three suspected terrorists walking along a road and another group of six pushing three carts believed to be loaded with weapons and other supplies.
Instead of engaging immediately, the aircraft continued surveillance and tracked the movements of the terrorists until both groups joined and stopped at a location within the bush.
