Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has conveyed his confidence in winning the governorship election, even though he is up against an opposition party supported by 34 governors.
In a post shared on his official social media page, Adeleke made this statement.
The governor referred to himself as a “bulldozer,” expressing that he was unconcerned about the number of governors backing the opposition party.
Adeleke expressed confidence by stating, “I’m not concerned about running against a party with 34 governors; I am a bulldozer.”
He mentioned that the governors backing the opposition candidate would be unable to cast their votes in Osun State.
He stated, “They are welcome to bring all their governors if they wish; they’re all my friends. However, it’s not them who will be voting here—they can only support their party.”
Adeleke also conveyed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his intervention following the recent freezing of Osun State Government’s account by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
“I am grateful for the President’s call during the recent EFCC freeze order on the state government’s account,” he stated.
The governor mentioned that Tinubu had assured him about the conduct of the election.
Adeleke commented, “President Tinubu assured me of a free and fair election.”
