Nigerian music star Orezi has sparked reactions online after declaring that he would cut ties with friends who support Lindsay Clancy in connection with the deaths of her three children.
Orezi shared the strong warning on Instagram while weighing in on the debate surrounding the American mother’s case.
The singer said he would not accept any form of support for Clancy from people who consider themselves his friends, regardless of the reasoning behind their position.
His message was direct: anyone he discovers is supporting Clancy should consider their relationship with him terminated.
“If you are my friend and I see that you support Lindsay Clancy in any type of way, no matter what angle you decide to judge her situation from, consider our friendship over,” Orezi wrote.
He went on to question how anyone could express empathy for Clancy while considering the deaths of the three children involved in the case.
Orezi highlighted that one of the children was only eight months old, describing the incident in strongly emotional terms.
“That woman strangled her 3 kids to death, 3 oooh. One of them was 8 months old,” he said.
The singer also indicated that he would not back down from confronting friends who attempted to debate the issue with him.
Orezi ended his statement by calling for Clancy to remain in prison, saying: “She should rot in jail.”
His post reflects the singer’s personal reaction to the case and comes amid continuing public discussions about Clancy, the deaths of her children and how her circumstances should be viewed.
