Nancy Isime has opened up about how she handles money and privacy in romantic relationships.
The Nollywood actress and media personality said she does not believe partners need to know each other’s personal financial details.
She shared her views during an appearance on the Thanks for Coming podcast.
‘He Shouldn’t Discuss His Either’
Isime said she would not tell a partner how much she earns or how much she keeps in her bank account.
She said the same rule would apply even if she were married.
“I would never discuss how much I have in my account or earn with my man,” Isime said.
She added that she would also not expect her partner to reveal his financial information to her.
No Phone Checking
Isime also revealed another boundary she maintains in relationships.
According to her, she would never go through her partner’s phone.
She said she does not care enough to engage in such behaviour.
Message to Women
The actress urged women who regularly check their partners’ phones to stop putting themselves under unnecessary pressure.
She encouraged them to avoid constantly monitoring their partners.
For Isime, trust and personal boundaries are important parts of maintaining a relationship.
Her comments have since drawn attention to different views about financial transparency and privacy between couples.
