The Social Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Adewole Adebayo, has called for the immediate expulsion of Francis Fadahunsi, the lawmaker representing Osun East Senatorial District, following remarks urging supporters to attack members of the Accord Party.
Adebayo expressed this view during an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’ on Thursday. He condemned all forms of violence and incendiary remarks in public discourse, emphasizing the need for responsible leadership.
Reports indicate that Fadahunsi was seen in a video instructing his followers to harm Accord Party members in anticipation of the August 15, 2026, governorship election in the state.
Adebayo stated, “I unequivocally condemn the statement attributed to the Senator and the prevalent use of violence in public affairs. I urge the All Progressives Congress (APC) to expel Fadahunsi and others involved. Failure to do so renders them collectively accountable. Regarding the police, their actions will speak louder than words when the individual is brought to court.”
